Our club takes care of approximately 120 miles of trail in and around the Paradise area. We break the trail down into 4 seperate groups for scheduling the groomer runs.
Trail #452 and #453 is the Point run, it is done the first thing in the morning and takes 6-7 hours to complete
Trail #45 is the Falls run, it is done in the evening and takes 6-7 hours to complete
Trail #8 west is the Pine Stump run, it is done in the evening and takes 9-10 hours to complete
Trail # 8 south is the run south to Hulbert and towards the Soo, it contains the infamous south swamp which gives us the hardest time freezing down and is done in the evening also and takes 8-9 hours to complete
The trails are groomed every day, weather permitting
Trail Report

Man.......If I could write what I`m feeling I`d sound like a drunken sailor and get myself in trouble!!! It rained most of the day yesterday and hit 37 degrees. We lost half of our snow, just as we had the trails in great shape. The good news is....we groomed everything Sunday night so the trails should be smooth as silk once everything refreezes. It is 22 out this morning and it is snowing pretty good. We got a good inch last night and it looks like we might get a couple more today. It is supposed to remain cold, so if we can just get some more snow we will be good to go. We are gonna get out on the trails this week and do some maintance brushing and signing and check things out. I`m thinking we will be in good shape for the weekend, but remember we will have a solid ice base so the corners will get blown out quickly. Keep checking back and I`ll be sure to keep you informed. Ok, here`s the scoop. Me and a buddy went for a ride on our trail system yesterday and here`s what we found out from a sledders point of view. Like I thought, the trails are hard, FLAT and fast. We rode out to Crisp Point on trail #8 and just had a ball!!! The wind was howling out of the northwest and it was snowing hard. We then turned around and headed to the Upper Falls on trail #45. That trail was in the same shape and we had even more fun!!! It was still snowing hard out there too. We then headed back to pick up trail #8 to go south to the Silver Creek Tavern. Our infamous swamp trail was in a little ruffer shape but rideable. There was no open water holes but alot of standing water, but like I said, it was rideable. The power line south of the river to the Creek was in decent shape but a little rough. It snowed all day, we picked up maybe 3 inches. It is supposed to stay below freezing for awhile so that should help with the standing water. The weatherman is saying it is gonna stay calm the next couple of days and then we are supposed to pick up some good lake effect for the weekend. We rode a total of 110 miles and really had a good time. I would rate the trails as good, if we could get 6 inches of snow on them they would be perfect!!! I don`t think you would be dissapointed if you came on UP to put on some miles this weekend, especially if we get this lake effect they are talking about!!! Groomer Chris

Well.....we could use some more snow. The trails are in not too bad of shape.....definitely ridable. We have a solid ice base and they are flat, just be careful in the corners. The forecast is calling for snow the next few days, maybe 3 plus inches, lets hope that happens and then things will be perfect!! We have not groomed the last couple of days cause there is nothing to groom and no need to anyhow....they are FLAT. Come on Ole Man Winter, bring it on!!! Get off your lazy butt!! Everybody do there best snow dance and lets see what we can do. I`m gettin bored! Groomer Chris
